HIGH SPEED ADSL SUPPORT

EnterNet freezes after connection is established on early versions of iMac.

There are two possibilities:

One crash has been found to be fixed by upgrading the iMac system and CD-ROM firmware. Contact Apple for firmware updates.

A more common problem is due to running AppleTalk over the Ethernet interface to the broadband network. This will easily cause AppleTalk collisions with other systems that may also be broadcasting over the same wire. NTS recommends in all cases to avoid problems with AppleTalk by pointing the AppleTalk device on the control panel to a Remote or Printer port.
