Before
installing the PPPoE modem,
make sure that you have placed
the phone filters provided with
your kit on all of the phones,
fax machines and other devices
that are connected to a phone
line. Make sure not to put a
filter on the line for the PPPoE
modem. If you plan on using
a splitter make sure to plug
the splitter directly into the
wall jack and place a filter
on any of the outlets on the
splitter that will not be connected
to the modem.
- Connect
the power adapter to the PPPoE
modem.
- Connect
one end of the RJ45 cable
(the network cable) to the
PPPoE modem and the other
end into the network card
on your computer.
- Connect
the one end of the RJ11 (phone
cable) to the PPPoE modem
and the other into the wall
jack or non-filtered outlet
on your splitter.
- Insert
the power adapter into a power
outlet to turn on your modem.
