This error, as well as "Cannot Invoke the PPPoE Session", is most likely due to an incorrect configuration of the TCP/IP stack and its binding to the Ethernet card.

The Cybernet High Speed Edition Adapter’s configuration should be as follows:

1. Click on the Apple menu
   

2. Select Control Panels
   

3. Select TCP/IP
   

4. The TCP/IP screen is displayed
   

5. Click the File menu
   

6. Select Configurations...
   

7. The Configurations screen is displayed
   

8. Select Magma High Speed from the list
   

9. Click the Make Active button
   

10. Back to the TCP/IP screen, select mycybernet in Connect via
    

11. The following defaults should appear:
    
    Configure : Using PPP Server
    IP Address: " will be supplied by server "
    Subnet mask: " will be supplied by server "
    Router address: " will be supplied by server "
    Name server address: 1.2.3.4
    5.6.7.8
    
    

12. Close the window to exit and save the changes
