you have not already done so, connect your
phone filter to the phone that is having
the problem.
If you have installed your phone filter
and are still experiencing problems, check
that the phone filter is installed properly.
Desktop filters have icons, or pictures,
on them to help determine the correct way
to install it. The "phone" icon is over
the end of the filter to which you should
connect your phone. The "telco jack" icon
is over the end of the filter that should
be connected directly to your wall jack.
If the above two items have not cured the
problem, swap the phone with one that does
not have the problem. If the problem is
fixed, then the phone that you have will
need to be replaced. If not, you may have
