This
page describes how to set up OS
9x to connect to Mycybernet.net
On Line.
1.
Click on the apple menu button
in the top right corner of your
screen. Open control panels
and click on "Internet."

When the Internet setup screen
opens you should see the active
set as untitled, providing you
don't already have an Internet
configuration set up already.
If you already have a set and
it isn't working, you can remove
it using the file menu and then
continue on from here.

Click on the "File" menu and
then click "New Set"

Name the new set Mycybernet
or Cybernet and click the "Save"
button.

Fill in the spaces under the
"personal" tab as shown below.

Click on the E-mail tab and
fill in the account ID, Incoming
Mail Server, Password and SMTP
server as shown below. Generally
your default mail application
will be Outlook Express, but
should you have another program
installed (such as Eudora Mail)
the option of using it remains
yours.

Click on the "Web" tab. Although
the home page and search page
are both personal preferences,
we have provided you with some
default choices below that you
can enter.

Click on the "News" tab and
enter the news server as shown
below. Do not click on the "registered
user" option.

9.
If you click now on the "Active
Set" up/down arrow, Mycybernet
will be a choice. Select it.

10.
Click on the "File" pull down
menu at the top of the screen
and "save settings." Then close
the Window and move on to step
11.

11.
Go back to the "Apple" menu,
down to Control Panels and select
"TCP/IP."

12.
Fill in the settings as shown
below. Close the window and
Save the settings and you are
done.
