in the box. If you do, you
can skip to Step 3. If there
is no listing for either "TCP/IP"
or "TCP/IP - Dial Up Adapter",
proceed to the next step.
Note:
A very common bug is to have
TCP/IP installed more than once.

all TCP/IP entries. You remove
an entry by highlighting it
and hitting the 'Remove' button.
Once all TCP/IP entries have
been deleted, add a single one.
- Click
on "Add", then "Protocol",
and then "Add".
- Select
"Microsoft" as the manufacturer,
then "TCP/IP" as the protocol.
- Click
"OK", "OK", and then "OK"
again.
- Windows
98 will then add TCP/IP.
Note: You might be
asked to provide computer and
workgroup names at this point.
If so, click on the identification
tab at the top of the screen,
type in your last name for the
computer name, 'workgroup' for
workgroup, and 'computer' for
computer description. Then hit
OK.
